Angelic Magic: Creating Archangel names in sigil form for Raphael, Michael, Gabriel & Uriel

QuantumPhoenix -Esoteric blogs

If you do an internet search for the Archangel names, firstly many variations come up, and second, you’ll see a whole lot of shops selling talismans & pendants with all sorts of symbols and sigils, with a mixture of Hebrew writing included and all sorts of squiggles.

The question is, how far do you trust them? How accurate do you think those sigils are – and how do you even test to ensure they are accurate? (unless you are already an expert at those matters).

Am not saying anyone out there is deliberately trying to mislead anyone.  But my own extensive internet (and hard printed books) searches have shown me that there’s a lot of smudging and confusion in this matter… People are sometimes just copying one another’s websites/ blogs or info..and  the mistakes/ misinformation is either spreading or getting amplified (like Chinese whispers).

2020 Stonehenge Full Moon Dates

Stonehenge Stone Circle News and Information

Was it a Neolithic calendar? A solar temple? A lunar observatory? A calculating device for predicting eclipses?
Or perhaps a combination of more than one of these? In recent years Stonehenge has become the very icon of ancient astronomy, featuring in nearly every discussion on the subject. And yet there are those who persist in believing that it actually had little or no connection with astronomy at all.

Stonehenge is situated on the edge of Salisbury Plain, the Landscape occupies a large, sparsely populated area ideal for stargazing.   These dark skies provide the perfect environment to see the stars in all their detail, so why not organise a night-time trip to see what you can discover?

Kuan Yin: The Woman, the Legend, & the Goddess

Faith & Belief by Jarred James Breaux

mainpageimage

Most commonly known as the Buddhist Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion, Kuan Yin became the perfect human being through the mantra (or prayer) Om Mani Padme Hum. She is a symbol of one woman’s sacrifice for mankind. Known by many names, the name Kuan Yin is short for the Chinese title Kuan Shih Yin, meaning “observing the sounds of the world” or “she who hearkens to the cries of the world.”[1]

Atman-Brahman Concept

Faith & Belief by Jarred James Breaux

Hinduism.AtmanBrahman

A group of scriptures known as the Upanishads, written as dialogues between a student and a teacher by many different people starting in the seventh century before the Common Era, are the last portion of the Vedas. Sometimes the Upanishads are referred to as the Vedanta, meaning “the summing up of the Veda,” however, the word “Upanishads” itself means “to sit close to.” Two fundamental concepts are established in the Upanishads, Atman (the personal soul) and Brahman (the great soul).[1]

Comparison: The Middle Way & Yin and Yang

Faith & Belief by Jarred James Breaux

5e71de1601577f1cc1f9163f927c6e36

There is an ancient saying in China: “Many paths, one mountain.” This means that there are multiple ways to achieve a similar goal in each religion. In Buddhism, the Middle Way expresses one’s need to stay away from the extremes. Likewise, the yin and yang in Taoism expresses that everything is light or dark. Both of these paths suggest that each person should follow a moderate lifestyle, incorporating both the dark and the light in order to achieve maximum spiritual growth. Through moderation, a person achieves balance. Thus, one way to achieve balance is to avoid the extremes and equivocates the dark and the light.[1]

The Origin of Christmas Traditions

Faith & Belief by Jarred James Breaux

79674503706ce31a8c32fc17367db3c4

December 25th has become mainly associated with the birth of Jesus of Nazareth for nearly two-thousand years, especially in the Western world. However, before A.D. 350, December 25th was the birthday of many gods and a holiday for other religions. Also keep in mind that various other religions have adopted December 25th as a holiday over the years. The winter season itself is sacred to many religions world-wide, not just Christianity. Many Christmas traditions, such as the Christmas tree, the mistletoe, and hollyberries, have their origins in pagan religions.

The Evolution of Amen-Ra into the Hebrew God

The origins of the Hebrew religion are deeply routed in Egyptian religious practices. However, what has not been discussed before is the possibility that the religion of Akhenaten (father of Tutankhamen) is the oldest form of modern monotheism. Thus, the Egyptian Sun god, Amen-Ra, and the Hebrew god, Yahweh, are one in the same.

At a local Eckankar workshop, someone stated that Harold Klemp became the Mahanta when he became God aware. Someone asked “What does it mean to be God aware?” Not being an Eckist, I hesitated to share my thoughts. I waited for the community leader to respond and offer her perspective, which she explained various levels or degrees of conscious which people must reach, the last being “God awareness.” I could see that the individuals at the meeting were still perplexed and wanted to know more. I asked permission to share my point of view and the community leader graciously allowed me to explain.

In order for a group to function and continue for generations, there must be some criteria that the group must meet. The larger a group becomes and the longer it endures, the harder it is to survive.

The Establishment of the Roman Empire and the Imperial Cult

Faith & Belief by Jarred James Breaux

a7a8a12fed11e9966e1d490675d5beda65fd6ca6

After Julius Caesar’s coup of the Roman Republic, Caesar sought to solidify his claim as king of the Romans.  Caesar claimed his family was the descendants of Venus and Jupiter.  On his tour in Egypt, Caesar saw the marvelous statues dedicated to the kings of Egypt.  The kings of Egypt were worshipped as gods and they ruled with a divine right.  This imperial cult gave the king legitimacy to rule.  Caesar needed a legitimate reason to rule Rome, but he would take slow steps before he became “dictator for life.”  But Caesar would not become the legitimate king of Rome, it would be his adopted son who would secure the Imperial Cult of Rome and seize the throne as the first Emperor of the Roman Empire.

Jesus the Shaman: The Spiritual Quest in the Wilderness

A sweat lodge is used by shamans to overcome disease, fatigue, or depression as well as to contemplate something of importance. It has evolved into a spot for communion with the divine. In conditions similar to these, Jesus wrestled with the three temptations in the wilderness for 40 days without food. What if instead of conversing with Satan, Jesus really was having a conversation with himself? What stresses led Jesus to have such an existential crisis?

The Persuasive Trinity of Divination

Faith & Belief by Jarred James Breaux

Blending

When writing a persuasive essay, people use a balance of ethos, logos, and pathos to reach their audience. The balance of these three is considered a perfect harmony within an essay and the best way to convince others. What often goes ignored is the overlap of these central ideas which can make a more convincing argument. And rather than applying there ideals to a persuasive essay, I have used them to interpret tarot card meanings. In doing so, I have found deeper meaning in the reading, which has convinced me of the tarot’s ability to uncover unknown truths.

The Bible Does Not Condemn the Practice of Magic

Faith & Belief by Jarred James Breaux

Mos_Snake_Eats_Other_Snakes_1153-22-Vol_2

Many modern fundamentalist churches condemn the practices of divination, fortune-telling, and magic. It is said that these powers derive from Satan. On multiple occasions, the Bible does condemn dark magic, power used to undermine the work of God. However, the Bible does not condemn all practices of magic outright, just those which cause harm against others.

Hebrew priest often used divination stones known as Urim and Thummim to communicate with God. Modern scholars believe that Urim and Thummim is a form of cleromancy,  in which an outcome is interpreted by the random placement of stones as a message from God.

In the breastpiece of judgement you shall put the Urim and the Thummim, and they shall be on Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the Lord; thus Aaron shall bear the judgement of the Israelites on his heart before the Lord continually.

As the new coronavirus took root across America, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sent states tainted test kits in early February that were themselves seeded with the virus, federal officials have confirmed.

The contamination made the tests uninterpretable, and—because testing is crucial for containment efforts—it lost the country invaluable time to get ahead of the advancing pandemic.

L’Acadie to La Louisiane: Part IV. Resistance and Expulsion

Une Famille de Louisiane

As 1750 approached, tensions between the English and French reignited, and England began building up its military presence in the region. The English were also looking to bring thousands of English Protestant settlers to Nova Scotia. In response, a French Catholic priest, Abbé Jean-Louis Le Loutre, and a charismatic Acadian militia leader named Joseph Broussard dit Beausoleil. Broussard, along with their Mi’kmaq allies, attacked English settlements and evacuated Beaubassin. They even burned down the village to deny supplies to the English.1

Finally, in 1755, the English executed plans to get rid of the Acadians once and for all and send them where they would present less of a threat. There were three main reasons for this. First, the Acadians vastly outnumbered Englishmen in Nova Scotia, and the British feared for their safety. But sending them…

L’Acadie to La Louisiane: Part II. The English Take Revenge

Une Famille de Louisiane

In the summer of 1696, colonial leaders in Canada made a move that had a devastating effect on l’Acadie. Against the backdrop of another war been the French and English, Pierre Le Moyne d’Iberville (the founder of the French colony of Louisiana and older brother of Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville, a future colonial governor of Louisiana) led a force of 500 soldiers and Indian allies to attack an English settlement in Maine known as Pemaquid (later, Bristol, Maine). They captured its fort and killed three English soldiers.

The attack surprised and enraged New England, and Massachusetts’ revenge was harsh. Col. Benjamin Church from the Plymouth Colony led a nine-day raid with 400 soldiers and dozens of Iroquois warriors against the nearest French target – l’Acadie.1

When Church reached Beaubassin, Pierre’s friend Germain Bourgeois confronted him. Germain sought to de-escalate tensions by arguing that the…

PORT ROYAL

From Wikipedia:

Port-Royal was the capital of Acadia from 1605 to 1710. Initially Port-Royal was located on the north shore of the Annapolis Basin in the present-day community of Port Royal (note the Anglophone spelling), which is the site of the replica reconstruction of the original Habitation at Port-Royal. After its destruction by raiders from Virginia in 1613, Port-Royal was re-established on the south bank of the river 8 km (5.0 mi) upstream. The British renamed Port-Royal at this new location as Annapolis Royal following their conquest of Acadia in 1710.

Port-Royal was founded by Pierre Dugua, Sieur de Mons and Samuel de Champlain in 1605. The settlement was the first permanent European settlement north of St. Augustine, Florida. (Two years later, the English made their first permanent settlement in Jamestown, Virginia.) Approximately seventy-five years after Port-Royal…

Tear Down the Statue?: The Edward Cornwallis Debate

Acadiensis

By Martha Walls and Corey Slumkoski

In Halifax, the issue of naming parks, buildings and other public sites after British soldier and “city founder” Edward Cornwallis has been contentious and longstanding. A May 2016 decision of Halifax City Council to not debate the renaming of public landmarks bearing Cornwallis’ name did not silence the matter. In April 2017, at the urging City Councilor Shawn Cleary, the city endorsed a plan to establish an expert panel to further consider the Cornwallis issue, though with little momentum since. Recently, a Canada Day attempt by five men who claimed membership in a racist right-wing fraternity called the “Proud Boys” to interrupt a protest by Indigenous people in a ceremony at the foot of the symbolic Cornwallis statue in a downtown park has again thrust the issue into the public spotlight.
